TREATMENT PHILOSOPHY

Falcon Ridge Ranch has adopted a non-punitive style called Positive Peer Culture.  Positive Peer Culture facilitates an atmosphere of kindness, firmness, dignity, and respect in which adolescents can best learn responsibility.  It inspires and motivates students to do better.  Positive Peer Culture favors natural and logical consequences, and uses encouragement instead of praise.  Each girl will realize at some point that they are happier when they are making positive changes in their thoughts and actions.
 
At Falcon Ridge Ranch we believe strongly in the worth and value of each girl, regardless of the nature of her problems.  With the realization that they can overcome their problems, and come to understand their individual worth, they can make good choices in their lives and be accountable for their actions.
