Will my child be in school?

Yes, the academic program is a very integral part of the program. Students attend a year round school on campus at Falcon Ridge Ranch. Falcon Ridge Ranch is accredited by the North West Accreditation and meets the Utah Board of Education requirements.

Will my insurance cover costs?

That is a question to be answered by your benefits manager. However, when asking this question ask if coverage is available for sub-acute/residential treatment. we are not a hospital therefore some insurance companies do not cover the charges.

What is ICPC and why do I need it?

ICPC is the Interstate Compact on the Placement of Children.  A uniform law enacted by all fifty states, it governs/monitors the movement of minors across state lines.  It serves to protect youth from being abducted and/or abandoned while in care as well as ensuring who will be financially responsible for services.  Each state has an Interstate Compact Office; the sending state coordinates with the receiving state on behalf of the parent or agency involved.

What is the average length of stay?

The length of stay varies. A number of factors are at stake that will determine the time frame.

  1. The complexity of the students issues.
  2. How long these issues have been occurring.
  3. How long before the student engages in treatment.

When do I get to take my daughter? When will I get to visit?

You will start out talking to the case manager and your childs therapist for the first 21 to 30 days. Then your child will have calls with you and the therapist on a weekly basis. Your first visit will be the family weekend after your child has been here for 30 days. Family weekends are scheduled six times a year.
